I mean the movie opened up to 2 Live Crew’s “We Want Some Pussy”. If you don’t feel like searching up the game’s genre, I’ll just say the simple phrase “2D sidescroller Legend of Zelda” and see if that rings a bell for you.Not only was Project X one of the best party movies ever, it had a pretty good score. And for the game in question, it’s my favorite Shantae game tied with the 1st game so far (Haven’t played Half-Genie Hero yet), for some nice character moments, healthy amount of content, and the logical conclusion to the 1st game’s sprite aesthetic. Also, if the only thing you can compare music such as this to, is Sonic, sorry not sorry, but you seriously lack imagination. Jake Kaufman’s music talent also stretches to the FM feel across the whole soundtrack, as well as somehow making that same “metal ding” compliment nearly this entire track without getting stale somehow an accomplishment worth noting. One such highlight is a sick Bass similar to one from Risky’s Revenge! As brief as it may be, I also appreciate that Accordion too, adds to the richness of the melody in that part. I’ll admit, most of this track could fit any vibrant nature area, with only the occasional instances of what seems to be a Steel Pan Drum specifying an island of any kind, but this is one of those cases where the sheer catchiness of the melodies at play here overshadows the faults the music might have. This one’s also here so this month isn’t filled with too many overly “serious” melodies, something I noticed as I was making the descriptions a month ahead of schedule.
